DDSR uses Canon, Kodak and Bell & Howell production document scanners. Using a broad range of scanners increases our production throughput and enables us to utilise the most appropriate scanner for the most appropriate job. Our production scanners alone have a possible daily throughput of nearly 500,000 documents*, not including our two high volume IBML Imagetrac scanners.
DDSR is an authorised user of the vpdf format of document scanning. This allows documents to be scanned in full colour, but produce a file size comparable to a document scanned in black & white, without compromising quality (See 'Sample' page). This allows key data such as coloured ink, coloured paper, highlighter pen, rubber stamps etc, to be digitally captured thatmay otherwise e los if the document were to be scanned in black and white. The resulting compressed digital colour file is in PDF format which can be viewed in the standard Adobe Actrobat viewer and utlilised as any other PDF. This allows scanned documents to be imported in to current or future document management systems, thus the WIndows file hierarchy can be maintained and end-users aren't tied to one particular retrieval programme.
Move your mouse pointer over the picture below to see how much information is lost when scanned in black & white....

Contact DDSR to arrange a consultation to discuss your needs, arrange a quote and free sample scan of your documents.
